74-Year-Old ‘America’s Got Talent’ Contestant Overcomes His Fear, Proves It’s ‘Better Late Than Never’
Frank Dmitri always wanted to be a singer. But his stuttering kept him from pursuing his dream.
“I never had the confidence,” Dmitri, 74, explains in his “America’s Got Talent” audition below — after he earned a standing ovation (and some tears) for his rendition of Frank Sinatra’s “I’ve Got the World on a String.”
“Well, I’ll tell you something,” judge Howie Mandel then says. “Better late than never.”
