Incredible Special Olympics Buzzer-Beater Makes ESPN’s Top Plays


ESPN SportsCenter’s Top 10 welcomed a newcomer to its charts this week — a young man named Diaquell Hutchins, of the Special Olympics Unified Team New Jersey, who sunk a game-tying three-point buzzer-beater on Tuesday.

Hutchins sent the game into overtime, where his team fell to Washington’s Unified Team 43-37.

“We’re going to keep building and improving,” Hutchins told The Trentonian. “We had some great teamwork today, we never gave up on each other, and we’re going to come back with even more energy tomorrow.”
