Entire Town Pitches In to Make Terminal Cancer Patient’s Simple Wish Come True

One woman is reminding everyone of the simple joys this holiday season.

Hope King, 55, from Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, has terminal lung and liver cancer, according to CBC News. Recently she expressed to her friends a wish to sled down the hill near her home while she still had the strength. King had sled down the same hill many times as a kid.

On Monday night, her community jumped into action to make King’s wish come true, throwing a neighborhood party and even trucking in snow and ice shavings from local hockey rinks. King’s request was granted as she and local children rode down the hill several times.

Life still goes on. You still have to live,” King told CBS News. “So I am going to make the most of every day that I do live.”
