Today is a day unlike most others.

Today I woke up. Today I got out of bed, brushed my teeth, put on some clothes and went to work. Today I was able to see the vibrant colors in the sky. Today the rain didn’t fall quite as hard. Today I drank my coffee and remembered all that is beautiful in this world.

Today is a reminder I have come farther than I ever thought I would. Today is a day in which I acknowledge there were many days before this that felt bleak, and those days will inevitably resurface. Today is a day I remind myself I am capable of surviving things I never believed I had the strength to endure. Today is a day I embraced the wild uncertainty that is life.

Most importantly, today is a day I remind whoever identifies with these feelings that you are never alone.

You are not broken. Your existence matters, Your pain is valid. You are enough.

You are not composed by the conjecture of your peers.

Do not allow anyone to tell you who you are or what you are capable of.

Do not allow anyone to minimize your worth to suit their own perceptions.

You owe yourself far more than that.

Although there are times you may feel “crazy,” or as if there is no way out, there is always a way through.

While it may not be simple, and the path may be all but clear, focus your attention on those who truly love you, who unconditionally support you, who never leave your side. There is someone out there who needs you a lot more than you might believe. Never lose sight of that.

Today is a day I am eternally grateful to be on this gigantic, spinning planet amidst a great big universe which I will never adequately understand… and I think I am beginning to like it that way.
