When you live with chronic illness, disability or a mental health condition, there’s often a lot to be said about routine — it can reduce stress, keep you organized and add a sense of structure to your days.

Mighty contributor Rachel Hill explained in her article, “4 Ways to Get Back in a Healthy Routine After the Holidays With Chronic Illness,” that routine can also be critical for self-care and making sure your basic needs are met. Hill wrote:

Getting myself back into a healthy routine is crucial in order to keep my health on track when living with mental and physical health conditions. It’s easy to slip into long-term poor eating habits, getting used to less exercise and going to bed much later, but all of these things can be really detrimental.

Many people also find a sense of routine through work, even if you’re working from home. Having a set schedule to fire up your computer and get busy at the same time each day may be an important part of helping you stay on track, whatever that might look like for you.

Mighty contributor Daphnée L. shared how work helps her maintain routine in her article, “The Job Roles That Helped Improve My Mental Health.”

“My psychiatrist once said that too much freedom and flexibility can be stressful in some way,” she wrote. “Having a routine is good for emotional stability, and I definitely believe work provides structure and balance in my life.”

If you’re hoping to make work part of your routine, here are seven companies with remote opportunities available you can apply for now:

1. Education First

Want to help expand our global society? Education First’s mission is to teach people around the globe other languages and create cultural learning experiences. Like the 114 countries the company currently serves, its job opportunities, including teaching positions, are also available around the globe. Part-time employees can set their own schedule, work from home and are eligible for paid vacation.

2. Magellan Health

Though Magellan Health has reach throughout the healthcare industry, the company is best-known as the arm of many insurance companies that handles mental health care. Magellan also has divisions that manage (and make decisions) about customers’ prescriptions and other health benefits. Magellan offers hired employees extensive health benefits and an employee assistance program that provides resources for people with disabilities and autism.

3. The Hartford

The Hartford provides home, auto and business insurance as well as employee benefits to its customers. To make this happen, the insurance company relies on a workforce of both in-person and remote workers. Some positions have the option of remote work even if they’re listed as on location, so make sure to ask about this, and whether or not training can also be done remotely. Stated employee benefits include health insurance, paid time off and work-life balance flexibility.

In addition, according to its website, Knack employees are offered health insurance benefits and unlimited paid vacation.

5. Genius

Genius bills itself as the “world’s biggest encyclopedia of music,” and it needs guru music fiends to ensure that knowledge stays up-to-date. Not all of the platform’s jobs can be done remotely, so be sure to carefully check the job listings. Listed benefits for employees include health insurance, paid time off and a 401K plan, though it’s unclear if these benefits are also offered to part-time hires.
