It’s September 2020 and college students across the globe are starting to return to school with their masks on and new rules and regulations. As students attempt to return to “normal” life, those of us who are chronically ill are still living with a heightened sense of fear.

You see, things are still not “normal.” Especially when you live with a chronic condition and the risk to rush back to normal isn’t possible. Luckily enough, COVID-19, in many ways, has increased accessibility for chronically ill and disabled jobseekers who were previously left out of the virtual workplace. The new rules for working have opened up hundreds of opportunities for us to work from the comfort of our home, on schedules that fit our unique condition and needs.

It’s time to reimagine work, and it’s up to people like me to keep advocating for our community to employers. For those of you who are new here, my name is Hannah and I’m the founder of Chronically Capable, a platform that connects people with chronic illnesses and disabilities to flexible remote work opportunities. I started this business because I, like many of you, live with chronic illness, and I know how hard it can be to find employers who will accommodate your needs.

I am working around the clock to bring enough stable, remote work opportunities onto the Chronically Capable platform so that people like us have a fair shot at pursuing a career. On that note, I’d love to share seven available remote work opportunities available this September.
