It’s a special month for our community — it’s National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM)! Back in July, we celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) and this month marks the 75th annual NDEAM.

NDEAM 2020 is led by the Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP). This month is dedicated to increasing opportunity and access for the millions of chronically ill and disabled Americans who are currently in the workforce or hoping to enter.

For those of you who are new here, my name is Hannah and I’m the founder of Chronically Capable, a platform that connects people with chronic illnesses and disabilities to flexible remote work opportunities. Chronically Capable has always believed in the importance of creating space for the chronically ill and disabled to work and excel at their jobs without feeling like they have to sacrifice their health.

This month, we’ll be sharing lots of info about NDEAM. Sign up for our newsletter or check out our Instagram to stay updated and see how you can participate throughout the month! On that note, I’d love to share seven available remote work opportunities available this October.
