Alyse Ruriani is a 22-year-old artist, designer, advocate, and art therapy student. She is currently in her first year at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in the MA in Art Therapy and Counseling program. In 2017, she graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, MD with a BFA in Graphic Design and Culture and Politics. Previously, she was a Communications Intern at the National Council for Behavioral Health, and before that at Active Minds, Inc. Alyse is interested in the relationship between art and healing and hopes to raise awareness and spark conversations through her art, design, and writing.
