Originally from Iowa in the United States, Erika and her Swiss husband, Patrik, live in Zurich, Switzerland, with Mia (aged 5) and Leonie (5 months). Mia has a rare genetic disorder called Phelan Mcdermid sydrome (, that causes global development delays and a host of health issues including chronic lung disease and epilepsy. A writer and educational manager by trade, Erika left her corporate role to dedicate more of her time to having adventures with the little ladies. When she’s not creeping up the many hills of Switzerland with Mia in the adaptive stroller and Leonie in the baby carrier, Erika does freelance consulting and enjoys experimenting in the kitchen.
