Meghan Bayer is a junior at the University of Pittsburgh studying Emergency Medicine, Communication, Administration of Justice, and National Preparedness and Homeland Security, who hopes to attend medical school to one day become a pediatric neuro-otologist. Meg’s world was turned upside down when she was diagnosed with Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy/Complex Regional Pain Syndrome and other chronic illnesses at the age of 16. She has served the community as an EMT, ski patroller and lifeguard, challenging her medical skills in variety of different settings. She started the CRPS Ninja Chronicles as a safe space to write about the challenges of living with chronic pain and to raise awareness about her chronic illnesses.
