At 39 years of age, I am a new member of the “Aspie” community, now learning about my high-functioning self. Additionally, I am a person who stutters that believes strongly in disability advocacy and empowerment. I have taken my speech and transformed it into a positive force to spread hope and let others who are struggling and hurting know that things can, and do, get better. I currently work for the federal government and live in the northwestern suburbs of the District of Columbia, on the Maryland side. I love motivational speaking, writing, traveling, and serving at the pleasure of my black cat, Lucky.
