Do you struggle driving during sunset/dusk

I have always struggled driving during this time of day… the sky is changing, the light is changing, there is a mixture of cars with their lights on at different brightnesses.

I’ve never really thought much of it, I just try to avoid driving during this time of day as it gets too much.

After she was driving during this time of day earlier this week, it dawned on my wife if it has some sort of link to Neurodiversity.

Thoughts?

Can Someone Explain This To Me?

I am 64 yr old single mom. I am currently living with PTSD, Anxiety, Panic. The meds and therapy are working well for me. I was recently diagnosed with ADHD and ASD. I don’t know why this is so surprising for me. How can I be this age, and have such powerful ( to me) diagnoses this late in life? I don’t even know the accepted terms to use when speaking with close friends or family. 🌸🌸🌸

If you could tell yourself one thing when you first got diagnosed (self or otherwise) with autism, what would it be?

Feeling stubborn

I volunteer at a local cat shelter, and my shift is every other Tuesday. Another woman, who does the alternating Tuesday, just sent me an email to ask if I could swap with her one or two days because she realized she won't be home. I have already written my days on my calendar, and have scheduled other things around it. I'm feeling very worked up wishing this woman hadn't asked me to switch, but also feeling guilty and like I should just be more flexible. However, I'm going to do what feels good for me and tell her I would like to keep my schedule the way it is. There are many other volunteers that could fill her spot. I'm feeling uneasy but like I'm doing what's right for me. #ADHD #CheckInWithMe
