Community, Stories & Info

Lewy body dementia (LBD) affects the protein deposits, called Lewy bodies, that develop in nerve cells in the brain areas involved in cognition, memory and motor control. Symptoms include changing in thinking and reasoning, confusion, visual hallucinations and delusions, memory loss and Parkinson’s symptoms such as balance problems, rigid muscles and hunched posture.
