Panhypopituitarism is a condition in which there is a deficiency in all pituitary hormone production. It is often a secondary disorder caused by other problems or disorders that affect the pituitary gland. The signs and symptoms vary greatly, but common signs of anterior hypopituitarism include midline defects, micropenis, optic atrophy, hypoglycemia, and poor growth. Treatment includes hormone replacement therapy and surgery to remove tumors if present.
