Guy Shahar is a British writer. autism consultant and founder & CEO of the charity, The Transforming Autism Project. His son was diagnosed with autism aged 2 in 2012. The family decided to step outside the traditional medical route, and instead sought out other ways to support him. Early in 2016, Guy wrote about how they made that transition in his latest book Transforming Autism, which is now available worldwide. The Transforming Autism Project aims to revolutionise public and professional understanding of autism globally and to empower people with autism to be recognised for and to live to their true and full potential. It is currently planning to launch a specialist Early Intervention clinic in the south-east of England. Guy’s TED talk, “The Beautiful Reality of Autism,” was delivered in London late in 2016. Guy also offers consultations for parents of young autistic children – either in person or via Skype – through his personal website
