Kitty Black is a neurodivergent mother of a boy with autism and an apparently neurotypical girl. She won her first/only writing award for “The Big Fish,” heroically competing against twenty other 6-year-olds. Her background in psychology and research is ironically irrelevant to parenting, as her children wander away when she asks them why they tipped jelly into the plant. She is awaiting publication of her first children’s book and can be found wondering what’s going on at her blog Playing with Fireworks.
