Lesa Brackbill and her husband, Brennan, were thrilled to become parents and all that goes along with parenthood. When their daughter, Tori, was diagnosed with a terminal genetic disease (Krabbe Leukodystrophy) at six months of age, they were faced with a major decision: walk in grief and choose to be miserable like the world expected of them, or walk in faith and choose joy. And they chose joy. Lesa blogs about their journey through child loss and parenting after loss at www.thebrackbills.com and recently published their story, "Even So, Joy" through WestBow Press. She also actively advocates for Newborn Screening for Krabbe, the disease that claimed Tori's life at 20 months of age. "Even So, Joy" is available on Amazon and other online retailers.
