My day job is as a math teacher in a high school for kids with behavioral and emotional challenges. In 2015, I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer, and ended up having my entire thyroid removed when I was 35. There were two types of cancer (classical and folicular variant) that had different profiles, but the treatment and surgery took care of them both. This began my path as a teacher and I continued to create freelance graphics on the side. I wrote an article about things that people said to me while I dealt with cancer that I hope you get to read. I live in Massachusetts with my wife and two kids. I have written two poetry books called "Thought & Color" and "Human" that are both available as print books on Amazon.
