How are you celebrating #earthday ? 🌍

In honor of #earthday , this week’s #52SmallThings challenge is about going green and making one environmentally friendly change during the week! 🌱

Here are some ways you can celebrate:

1. Choose an environmentally friendly straw: themighty.com/2018/05/review-reusable-drinking-straws-disability
If your disability requires a plastic straw, that’s OK, too!

2. Go meatless one day of the week. It reduces your carbon footprint and can lower your cholesterol.

3. Plant something: themighty.com/2018/08/gardening-illness-disability
Plants take in carbon dioxide and release oxygen.

4. Switch your cleaning products to natural alternatives. This can also help those with allergies or sensitivities.

5. Use reusable shopping bags. Finally, a use for your 400 tote bags.

6. Have your water, coffee or tea in a reusable mug. You probably already have one just don’t forget it at home!

7. Recycle your old homewares and clothes. Donate whatever doesn’t “spark joy.”

8. Start a compost bin. Compost can even help your garden down the line.
