Who else exsperiences a ton of anxiety and exhaustion leading up to a stressful event even if you have done it before?
My college is a seven hour drive from my home. I am driving home for thanksgiving break in 4 days. I feel super anxious and exhausted and stressed about it even though I know it is going to be fine. Feeling ashamed for asking for help and for needing help….shouldn’t I be over this after years dealing with my condition….
Recently moved close to my brother. He offered to take me to my older brothers burial. It is super difficult for me to have declined due to my medical condition and anxiety. I’ve had this buffer of distance and now we’re nearby and my limitations seem glaring when I look at them as I imagine through his eyes. Just feeling fairly awful . Thanks for reading and probably understanding better than me.
Anyone else whose mental health /mental well being feels really cyclical ?
I will feel pretty good for a while and be like “wow my mental health issues aren’t that bad” and be really content with existing. After anywhere from a week to a couple months I hit a wall where I just feel crap with no real desire to do anything. Eventually I get out of it and the cycle repeats.
