Has anyone been prescribed melthyprednisolone for migraines?
I recently visited my neurologist and he ordered a brain MRI and EEG and said he was writing me a prescription which, I didn’t know until I picked it up, was methylprednisolone. I’ve never heard of steroids being used to treat migraines and I don’t want to take them unless I know they’ve worked for others.

I have had terrible pain since Saturday. I'm not sleeping much and my mood is really low. I've tried Epsom salt baths, heat, ice, massage, cbd salve, and meditation. I have a telehealth call with my doctor tomorrow. I'm feeling so discouraged. I have been having more pain flareups over the past 6 months. The doctor finally gave me a diagnosis....Fibromyalgia. I have lived with chronic pain for most of my adult life but it has only worsened in the past few years. I also have Chronic Migraine and Ménière's Disease. The doctor is doing trigger injections and I am getting acupuncture. I am also now taking Gabapentin. Nothing is helping though. I am not able to sleep. I hurt constantly, especially in my trigger areas. Just wanting to vent and also see if anyone has any suggestions. Thanks all. #ChronicPain #Fibromyalgia
