I feel slightly terrible saying this but ...

... I mean for practical impacts I guess this means things are moving in the right direction 😌🙃 But as to personal thought patterns and esteem -- erm, shucks?

This is my last full week of unemployment, I fly this Friday to Penang for a quick getaway (unrelated to the job, but yes - I am indeed starting after this getaway, in view of having booked it end-May). I start at my new job mid next week 🎉

I'm realising I'm feeling less rubbish about myself since ... not even since the job offer. Not even since accepting the offer. But only having had it 101% confirmed when my employer[-to-be] sent it back after she counter-signed. Then I breathed a sigh of relief.

I've been less ashamed to eat full meals since(!!! !! ! smack me. Should I tell P about this ohmyshucks /dies)

Does anyone else relate to this? Has anyone else experienced something similar?

In the words of what I told a friend (incidentally the one I'm travelling with),

Me: I think knowing you're going on a (overseas) hol after 3 yrs and knowing u can confidently chill with a job offer secured, really has different feelsz. Like you hobo with confidence. [😌😆😂] At first I semi-jokingly told another friend but I'm increasingly realising it's real😆😆😆
Friend: But it feels good to enjoy hols before starting a new job ... why hobo with confidence hahahaha
Me: Cos you can confidently be sure you have a job, unlike if you are searching and no job secured & like, you're watching your savings dwindle. Hahhaahha
Friend: Oh.

😏🙃😶

Someone whom I told over the weekend about this trip asked if I was giving myself this trip to reward me for securing employment (😂😆 what a cute guess!), and I was like - no .. it wasn't planned that way although now it kind of turns out to be that way 😆

Thoughts? I guess for observed factual stuff, at least I'm eating proper[ly compared to before]? But ugh @ that perspective?

(We'll probably eat plenty of nice food in Penang, its affordable cos of currency conversion and .. fine, I'll admit, for all the hawker culture "rivalry", Malaysia DOES have the better street food :p)

How does everyone cope with emotional eating?!?

For myself, it’s almost like mindless eating choices when I’m anxious, down, or feeling poorly related to my #MultipleSclerosis

It’s like it helps me numb even more. I just can’t do it anymore and I need y’all’s advice!!!

How are everyone's #IBDsymptoms holding up?

Feel free to share as little or as much information to your comfort novel. If anyone would like tips for easing symptoms, please let me know.

My answer: I have noticed slight abdominal cramping and sleeping through out the day.

Medication

I’m on corosteroids recently discussed change to biologics with my specialist because being immune compromised with higher community transmission of covid is super risky, I basically can’t go out anymore at all not even to the local shopping centre thank good I love fishing and camping!
Anyway I’m very interested to hear peoples experience that have come off steroids and moved onto stellar.

I’m a bit scared of biologics tbh
