About 8 years ago I had an infection on my big toe. I saw one doctor he removed a piece of my nail. The toe looked worse so I went back and he removed another piece of the nail. The toe still looked bad. I saw a different doctor and he took off my entire nail and I started on antibiotics. I took antibiotics for almost 4 months. In between I had an MRI and then ended up in the hospital for 4 days. They didn’t do anything expect give me antibiotics. About a month later I went to NYU and I had surgery on my toe. It a good month to revive from the survey. Well 6 years after the surgery my nail never grew in normal. I started to see a podiatrist that my mom really liked and he did get my nail to grow a little bit. About 1 year after seeing him, he put kerryfkex on my nail. This made my nail look somewhat normal. In May of this year, he took off the kerryfkex and I could see that my nail grew longer than it had in 8 years. About a week later he put the kerryfkex on it again. Well now it appears that it was not sealed well enough and he had to take it off today. My toe looks just as bad as it did 8 years ago. I don’t know what to do at this point. Has this happened to anyone else? I’m willing to take any advice I can get.
