What's keeping you back from meditating #52SmallThings

Many many benefits of meditations are well-known, like self-awareness, better emotional regulation and resilience, but I know from personal experience that many people still feel this shadow of "woo-woo" hanging over meditation. And the word itself simply doesn't sound contemporary. So, I'd love to hear what keeps you from meditating and answering as many questions as possible to demystify a bit a practice that has the power to help you live a better life. I'm here - shoot your questions:) Excited!

Could you make 5 minutes a day to meditate? Here are some ideas on how to find some time to squeeze in meditation.

If you have a tight schedule, look for small "loopholes" during your day: Try meditating in the subway, while waiting in line or right awas when just when you woke up. Put your alarm on 5 minutes earlier than usual and then use these 5 minutes to just breathe.

Let me know, how your meditation challenge is going!;-)

Crippling insomnia

Last night I had the worst bout of insomnia I've had in a while. It was surprising because I had a productive day, a relaxing night, and went up to bed with the empty promise of a restful night of sleep. It started with an inability to relax my mind- replaying embarrassing and awkward situations and second guessing every decision I’ve ever made. I attempted to work through a meditation for sleep, no luck.
Then, it translated to tension and electricity surging through my body- my muscles aching with restlessness and exhaustion all at once. I tried progressive muscle relaxation, no luck.
Each time I looked at the clock, as if it held the answers to my burning questions, another sleepless hour had passed. Now it's about time to start a new day. Time to get up and attempt to function as an adult and carry on my daily responsibilities as if I hadn't just carried out a war within myself for the last 8 hours.
Positive vibes appreciated💞 #Depression #Anxiety #Insomnia #Sleep #restless #Meditation
