Not doing well

Wow, it's been a tough week with triggers and ptsd symptoms! Ugh. I've been using my coping skills, which is keeping me from losing it altogether, but I'm not seeing any real progress. This is frustrating. It's like one trigger after another. I get myself calmed down from the first, only to be bombarded by another and another and another. I might be calling the crisis line this weekend. My biggest triggers are my children, whom I love and adore, so I work hard to keep myself from reacting out of fear. I tend to react with fight, so I end up feeling chaotic because I have to repress my natural instinct to protect myself. It gets pretty rough around here, at least in my brain and chest and stomach and muscles... #parentingwithptsd #CPTSD #ifeellikescreaming

Needing input.

What can I do about a verbally and emotionally abusive 19 year old daughter with autism, BPD, ADD, PTSD, depression and anxiety? I have two other children in my home besides her and they both have health issues too. One is disabled. I struggle with multiple chronic illnesses and I am going through a divorce from a narcissistic husband. I also do online college classes and work full time at a retail store. My daughter works there also. Most of the time when she goes through her “episodes” with her moods and emotions we will end up arguing, as the years have passed and she has gotten older her words and responses have become more illogical and mean during those fights and no amount of attempts at reasoning with her ever calms her. It has now reached a point where she started yelling and cussing me at work where both customers and coworkers could hear and see. The coworkers were shocked by it. They had never seen her be anything but bubbly and kind. I was stuck having to explain to one of them why she behaved that way after she stormed off. Not only was it really embarrassing and made me feel belittled by her hurtful words, it worried me that we would get in trouble or fired if one of the coworkers decided to report it to our supervisor. If anyone has any advice that could help me to cope with the ups and downs that come with these conditions, it would be really appreciated! #BorderlinePersonalityDisorder # #Autism #ADD #PTSD #Depression #Anxiety #EhlersDanlosSyndrome #Fibromyalgia #EosinophilicEsophagitis #Abuse #MentalHealth #howtocope #ChronicPain #Migraine

Unimportant

I fell unimportant, like everybody else deserves good things, but I don't. I get stuck in my thinking quite often, particularly in this area. It just kind of pervades my life. I have to struggle throughout life; I can't experience love and safety; I have to let everyone else take whatever they want from me; I can't buy a new car; I'll never own my own home; having goals is pointless because I'll never get to fulfill any of them. I just don't matter. Other people are worth more than I am, so I can't ask for what I need and definitely shouldn't hope to get it even if I ask for it. But I did ask some safe people for some things I needed this week, and I got most of what I asked for. This conflicts with my beliefs and offers a glimmer of hope that maybe someday I will be as important as other people are. I'll no longer have to debase myself and can possibly find some happiness in life. #Selfworth #Askingforhelp #Hope
