If you could get rid of one thing about the waiting room of your doctor’s office, what would you get rid of?

Today I’m struggling. My legs feel so weak and shaky, when I stand up to go to the bathroom (which is a lot today) they feel like they’re just gonna give out. They actually did once, but luckily the bed was right there and my boyfriend was home to help me. My arms are so heavy and tired, I can’t even lift my 1L water bottle that’s right by my bedside. My fingers are starting to tingle and hurt as I type this. My stomach and bowels feels like hell has erupted and is going on a rampage. I’m very swollen today all over and I swear I can feel the fluid moving in me. How did I get so bad? When did it get so bad? It feels like it’s been so long since I’ve had a good day, I had to reconsider what good days actually look like now. Today my body is failing me, like most days. Yet I take my meds anyways, I take all my supplements, I take all my salt pills, I drink all my water with the help of my boyfriend and a bendy straw. Later when my tummy settles maybe I’ll even have some gluten free (gluten intolerance woohoo!) toast and avocado. My body let me down, but today I can’t let it down.

POTs Advice

I need suggestions. I have POTs and it seems to only get worse by the day. I experience syncope almost every time I stand up and I can not be active for more than 15 minutes before I get very faint. What have y’all used to help with longer outings, managing symptoms, etc. I’m willing to try anything and everything at this point. #LivingWithPOTS #POTS

Methotrexate

I started methotrexate a few weeks ago. Since then I’ve been having an awful time. I’m constantly itchy, my joints and muscles are in so much pain and I feel like I have a light sunburn all over my body. Why can’t my body just react like everyone else’s when I start new meds.? I’ve been through the gambit of medications! I just want to feel better and have a normal life. Ugh, just needed to vent, sometimes I feel so alone in my struggle. #AnkylosingSpondylitis #Methotrexate #ChronicIllness #Medicationreaction
