This Man on the Autism Spectrum Makes Santa Visits Sensory Friendly

Kerry Magro creates a safe environment for children with autism to have a visit with Santa.

A “typical” Santa visit at the mall can be difficult for kids with sensory challenges.

But with Kerry, kids can:

1. Take their time visiting Santa.

Children can sign up for 30-minute time slots so they don’t feel rushed.

2. Visit Santa without loud music, bright lights and big crowds.

Santa visits take place at a sensory friendly location, rather than a mall.

3. Have therapists on-site.

Therapists even dress as elves and assist children throughout their visit.

Kerry’s own struggles with sensory overload motivated him to create these Santa experiences.

“It’s important for us to meet these kids where they are in their own development to give them the best holiday experience possible.” – Kerry Magro

All kids should be able to enjoy the holidays.

Thanks for including children on the autism spectrum, Kerry!
