Those passionate about social media will have the chance to reach The Mighty’s 3 million social media followers through platforms such as Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter and Instagram. - Scheduling content for Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter
- Creating content for The Mighty’s social platform
- Designing images for Pinterest
Editorial Intern, Content
Dive deep into the world of health journalism with this internship. In this position, you’ll get a taste of all the different content types The Mighty has to offer. This role is great for those interested in journalism as well as those who are pre-med or interested in health care. Tasks include:
- Assisting with research for articles
- Sourcing and transcription
- Writing articles as needed
When applying for the internship, please rank the three specializations by interest. For example, if you are most interested in social media, rank that first. If there is an area you would not accept an internship in, please state that.
Interns will also have the opportunity to complete an intern project of their choosing or job application skills training where they will make a portfolio complete with a polished resume and cover letter. Many interns have gone on to work at The Mighty as well as other publications.
This is an unpaid internship, all potential interns must be able to earn course credit. The position can be performed remotely or in our Los Angeles office. People of color and those living with disabilities and illnesses are strongly encouraged to apply.
