Indiana is now the second state to ban abortions if the fetus has been diagnosed with genetic abnormalities, like Down syndromethe Associated Press reported. North Dakota is the only other state with a law like this in place.

Republican Gov. Mike Pence signed a bill into law Thursday, calling it “a comprehensive pro-life measure that affirms the value of all human life.” The law, which would take effect this July, also prohibits abortions done because of a fetus’s sex or race. In a statement, Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky said it will ask a court to block the law before then.

“PPINK is now working with the ACLU of Indiana to seek judicial review and fully expects to file a complaint and request for preliminary injunction,” the statement reads.
