18 Reasons These People Are Sick of Mental Health Stigma
In light of recent events in the media regarding violent stereotypes and mental illness, I decided to use my social media platform @afightworthfin on Twitter to create the new hash tag: #ImSickOfTheStigmaBecause.
Many of us are tired of how mental illnesses are portrayed in the media and even amongst friends and family. It’s time we highlight exactly why we’re tired. People on Twitter have already joined me in this conversation, but I’m also extending this hashtag to Facebook as well. Tell me why you’re tired using the hashtag #ImSickOfTheStigmaBecause. Let’s all come together and fight the stigma.
