Amy is a 51-year-old wife and mother of three boys (17-year-old twins and a 14-year-old with special needs). In 1997, Amy suffered a severe traumatic brain injury when she fell out of a third-story window. Twelve years after the stuffing her TBI, Amy relearned how to run and went on to compete in marathons and triathlons in order to help inspire wounded warriors with TBI/PTSD. Spine issues eventually caused Amy to retire from endurance sports and today she focuses on her mosaic and ceramic art to bring her peace. Amy holds a BA in Journalism and Mass Media from Rutgers University in addition to a Certified Personal Trainer and Fitness Nutrition Specialist certificate from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. As a plant-based vegan, Amy is passionate about healthy eating and sharing her knowledge with other people. Amy currently resides in Moraga, CA with her husband, sons, dog and bunny rabbit.
