I got in a motorcycle accident when I was 15 that changed my life forever. At the age of 34 I finally chose to have my leg amputated. It was supposed to make life so much better but left me more disabled than I was before. My goal is to share my journey with others. God chose for me to live when I very easily could have died at 15. There have been many ups and downs throughout these years and I am ready to share it with others. I am blessed to have, two beautiful children, supportive family and friends. I also educate and advocate for other people that live with disabilities, mental health and youth. I have my LCSW and have worked with children for over 20 years in many different capacities. I have also taught at a University and have been doing more motivational speaking. My story isn’t about all the great physical things I have overcome or amazing physical things I can do. It’s about how I continue to have difficulties in my life everyday but instead of just staying under the covers I get up and live life the best I can and try to help as many people as I can along the way.
