Mighty Member since March 2019
Kathleen Muldoon wears many hats. Too many. She is an academic mother of three amazing children. This means she is an anthropologist, a medical school professor, a community advocate, and a mother of a child with disabilities. Through her teaching positions at medical schools and experiences with disability, her interests have expanded into science communication, especially the effectiveness of allied health education on public health knowledge and empathy. She works to promote congenital cytomegalovirus (CMV) awareness and behavioral interventions in her community, within her state, and nationally. Between 2020-2023 she was a Governor-appointment member of an advisory council for early intervention services in Arizona, in addition to consulting on COVID-related policies for state services for children with disabilities. She and her husband are the proud parents of three children: her middle son has multiple disabilities due to congenital CMV. Follow Kathleen on Twitter @ProfMuldoon
