On Thursday, after news of the musician’s death, Special Olympics shared a video of him performing at the opening of the 1991 summer games at the Metradome in Minneapolis. He performed “Diamonds and Pearls” and “Baby I’m a Star.”
“Prince came to Special Olympics and made us the coolest party in the world,” Tim Shriver, Chairman of Special Olympics, wrote on Facebook. “Forever grateful.”
