Dear world,
Please be kind to my daughter with Down syndrome. See her for who she is and not what she isn’t. Allow her to show you her gifts (she has many) instead of only seeing her challenges (she has many of those, too). Embrace her differences, for what makes her different is what truly makes her beautiful — both inside and out. Slow down and let her show you the world through those rose-colored glasses. I promise you won’t be disappointed. Take her pure and genuine love that she so freely gives and pay it forward. Listen to her. She may not have a lot of words, but she still has a lot to say. Be patient. Include her. See her.
