Shortly after waking up my head started throbbing. I took 1 tramadol but after 2 hours the pain just got worse. So I waited for Pauley to wake up. She woke up 2 hours later and she gave me 1 tramadol and an eletriptan. That was like a half hour ago. I'm still in considerable pain. It's not getting any better.
So to help me feel good emotionally, I'm listening to oingo boingo, talking heads, siouxsie and the banshees, B-52s, and Lemon Demon.
I'm gonna get up and make some popcorn chicken for lunch. I haven't eaten yet and it's after 1pm.
(Goes to my kitchen, makes naan sandwich)
So here's my #lunchadventure
2 slices of mini garlic naan. One side has garlic and herb spreadable cheese. Then there's turkey lunch meat and Mexican blend of cheese. I sprinkled some garlic Parmesan seasoning. Then when I ate it, I dipped it in ranch dressing. I know there's a lot of moving parts to my sandwich but gosh it was really yummy.
I'm gonna take some meat out of the freezer and thaw it out for dinner this week. I've got a chub of ground turkey. I can make meatballs or something. And I've got a lovely marinated turkey tenderloin. That would be easier cuz all I gotta do is plop it in a casserole dish and put it in the oven. Except Pauley will need to wash a casserole dish this week.
And now, without further ado, my new coffee stash from schuil coffee and tea shop:
*Almond joyful
*Candy canes
*Caramel coconut macaroon
*Gingerbread man
*Peanut butter cup (I had this yesterday, so good!)
*Pecan pie
*Vanilla chai

I'm drinking some vanilla chai mixed with hazelnut IQ Joe and it's really yummy. But it tastes like sweet black licorice. Which is great, I enjoy anise flavored cookies Especially "Santa's favorites" but those are hard to find at stores and it's expensive on Amazon. They're just so good dipped in coffee.

What's your favorite winter treat? One I enjoy is a chocolate chip panettone, heated up in the microwave for a few seconds to make it soft and the chocolate chips get gooey. It's really yummy with coffee or tea. I had been sending a fruit panettone for the last few years to my mom. I didn't send one this year cuz she's... Not nice to me. Not even remotely nice.
13 days until my 42nd birthday. I'm hoping to go out for dinner on my birthday. I really want to make a special dinner for yule, on the 21st. I was thinking about making a prime rib. With roasted parsnips. I love parsnips.
I wish I had enough friends to plan a holiday party. All I've got here is Pauley and Bax but he texted me this morning saying he's pulling back from things in his life to make some big changes. He is difficult to make plans with. But he's my only friend with a car. My other "friend" here in Michigan decided to move to California without saying goodbye. It hurt my feelings. But clearly I didn't mean much to her.
