To The People Struggling With Their Mental Health Today…
“Right now, someone is trying to get out of bed, even though depression is making it feel impossible.”
“Someone else is attending therapy for the first time, ready to start feeling better.”
“One person is scrolling through their feed, hoping to find advice to help them get through the day.”
“Another is cancelling their night out because they’re overwhelmed and need time for self-care.”
“One person is trying to use skills they’ve learned to start building a positive relationship with food.”
“Another is planning a trip with friends instead of family, reminding themselves it’s OK to avoid a toxic environment.”
“One person is adjusting to their medication, fighting nausea and fatigue.”
“Another is exposing themselves to their triggers, and trying to push past them.”
“One person is writing frantically in their journal, trying to get the negative thoughts out of their head.”
“Another is sharing their experience with others, in the hope it will help at least one person.”
No matter where you are with your mental health today, where you are tomorrow or the next day, remember bad days happen to everyone.
What you’re feeling is valid, and it’s OK to take care of yourself first.
