Sometimes I just want to get in a box
and stay in there
pray in there
scream because there’s no air in there.
I wanna call out
“this isn’t fair, this mask I wear,
this fake grin-and-bare-it smile I share.”

It’s dark in here
and unclear
if the thoughts themselves built the walls here.
