Pitbull Is Using His Private Jet to Bring Puerto Rican Cancer Patients to the U.S.
Rapper Pitbull is known for global chart-topping hits with musicians like Jennifer Lopez, Timbaland, Lil Jon and Usher. Now he is contributing to an even greater cause, sending his private plane to Puerto Rico to bring cancer patients affected by Hurricane Maria to the U.S. for treatment.
Considered by many as the worst storm in 80 years, Hurricane Maria brought winds of up to 155 mph and widespread flooding to the Puerto Rico last week, knocking out power for the 3.5 million people who live there. Power outages included power in local hospitals, where cancer patients and others were left without the treatment and supplies they need.
Puerto Rican Congresswoman Jennifer Gonzalez thanked the rapper on Twitter, tweeting, “Thank you @pitbull for lending your private plane to move cancer patients from PR to USA so that they can get chemo.”
