Due to COVID-19, the new-to-humans coronavirus that causes respiratory infection and can lead to serious or fatal health complications, we have experienced unprecedented grocery shortages. From a lack of toilet paper to decreased availability of everyday grocery essentials, very few of us have been able to get all the groceries we need right now.
Luckily, some restaurants have stepped up to offer supplies available for pickup and delivery that your local grocery store may have run out of. Below, we’ve pulled together a list of 10 restaurants you may not have realized are selling groceries right now.
1. Tender Greens
The health-conscious and eco-friendly restaurant chain Tender Greens was one of the first to begin offering grocery products to their customers. On their website, you can order Grocery Boxes including veggie boxes, fruit boxes, indoor picnic boxes and others. Some of the boxes even include toilet paper rolls, a staple many grocery stores have been sold out of. Boxes are available for pickup or delivery in all their California locations. For more information and pricing, head to the Tender Greens website.
2. Panera Bread
Panera, best known for its bread products, is now offering general groceries during the COVID-19 pandemic including produce, dairy, bread and bagels. On their website, you can order these items for pick-up or contactless delivery. Head here for more information.
3. California Pizza Kitchen
California Pizza Kitchen recently launched a pop-up market called CPK Market, offering meal kits and pantry items.
