7 Work-from-Home Job Opportunities You Can Apply for This August

Can you believe it’s already August? Where has the time even gone? July was an important month for the chronically ill and disabled community.

On July 10, we celebrated Chronic Disease Day, bringing together state and city governments, national patient advocacy groups and local communities to share actionable resources and support the chronic disease community. You might see a familiar face in the campaign!

This past weekend, on July 26, we also celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Americans With Disabilities Act. Despite all that we have accomplished in the past 30 years, the national unemployment rate for people with chronic illnesses and disabilities is more than double that of non-disabled individuals.

I think it’s time that the chronically ill and disabled community gets their fair shot at work. We must continue to support remote and non-traditional workplace plans that include those with disabilities and chronic illnesses. It’s up to businesses to be actively inclusive by providing job opportunities for individuals in the chronic illness and disability communities.

It’s also up to people like me to keep pushing change among employers. For those of you who are new here, my name is Hannah and I’m the founder of Chronically Capable, a platform that connects people with chronic illnesses and disabilities to flexible remote work opportunities. I started this business because I, like many of you, live with chronic illness, and I know how hard it can be to find employers who will accommodate your needs.

I’m still working hard to make sure there are enough meaningful remote work opportunities on Chronically Capable. On that note, I’d love to share seven available remote work opportunities available this August.
