I'll try not to get into to much detail to avoid spoilers but so far I'm enjoying the way mental health issues are shown.

Possibly spoilers below. Trying to make it so you need to click read more before continuing to avoid giving any spoilers.

I also haven't finished the season yet.

The anxiety was realistic and felt like my inner demons were there on TV, like I could see it. A line about OCD that was something like "if I don't do it something terrible would happen" was actually amazing to see on TV, never have a seen anyone acknowledge the fact that it feels like terrible things will happen and never have I seen OCD shown as anything other than perfectionism. I personally don't like the depression being shown as a cat (I feel like cats already have a bad rep) but it does seem like my depression and lack of motivation.

Overall I'm impressed that a comedy show dealt with these issues and not by making fun of people with the illness or seeing them as quirky, edgy or a bad person but actually separated the illness from the personality. It was done in a way that it felt real and that I could laugh at it because of it's realism. I hope it introduces more mental illnesses and expands on OCD. I hope it also paves the way for more shows to be open and honest about what mental illnes is like and how they address real-life issues.
