Girl Scouts Announce New Gluten-Free Caramel Chocolate Chip Cookie
In anticipation of its upcoming cookie season, Girl Scouts of the USA unveiled a brand new cookie option on Tuesday: Caramel Chocolate Chip. The best part? The new cookies are gluten-free.
The new cookie features “rich caramel, semisweet chocolate chips and a hint of sea salt in a chewy cookie.” It is the first new cookie the Girl Scouts have introduced in two years, and will be available in limited markets while supplies last.
Girl Scout’s Caramel Chocolate Chip cookie is the third gluten-free cookie option the association has offered, and one of two gluten-free options for 2019. The second gluten-free cookie is the buttery Toffee-tastic cookie. While the Caramel Chocolate Chip cookie’s release is limited, Girl Scouts said all troops will have at least one gluten-free cookie option available to accommodate the diets of those with celiac disease or a gluten intolerance.
Several Girl Scout chapters across the U.S. took to Twitter to announce they will have the new Caramel Chocolate Chip cookies available in their regions.
