In our video below, we’re talking about ways to teach your children what disability is and how to interact with other kids with disabilities. When parents expose their children to peers with disabilities, they will most likely become more open to interacting with people who are different from them at school. We give some tips on how to introduce your children to this.
Chris Lenart has had cerebral palsy since birth and is nonverbal. He received his master’s in Software Engineering from DePaul University and worked for 14 years as a programmer analyst until 2009. He cowrote a book entitled “They Said We Couldn’t” discussing their life journeys with cerebral palsy and is currently trying to do public speaking about disability awareness.
