Dear younger me,
You went through a lot young lady in your life. I survived around hundred surgeries, so you can walk, write, and talk like everyone . Even though the surgeries supposed to improve your mobility, other children, adults, and teachers realized you are different. They decided to teased you and tried to instill in you that you will not go to college and you will do better working at a fast food restaurants. My parents and I agreed to go another school due to the negativity. When I attended the new school, my life changed for the better. Throughout my middle school years, I was honored with second honors, letter from the president, best handwriting, storytelling and good leadership skills. In spite of the bullying, I was determined to do well in middle school and high school. After graduating from high school with honors, I told myself that I AM GOING TO COLLEGE no question asked. As I told my old teachers and adults who talked about me that I am going to college, they are in dismayed. After graduating from Pellissippi State and Maryville College with honors, I proved myself and all my haters that no matter if I am in pain due to my cerebral palsy, I will conquer! The message is give yourself and others a chance. Just believe . #MightyPoets #cererbralpalsy #ChronicPain
