Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is real, and researchers have proof.

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is a Real Disease and Researchers Have Proof.
“It is so much more than just being tired .”
An estimated one million people in the U.S. have myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome:
A condition that causes an overwhelming amount of mental and physical fatigue.
Yet, some people don’t believe ME/CFS actually exists.
“The conversation goes something like this:
‘Hi, I have chronic fatigue syndrome.’
‘Oh boo hoo you’re tired, I’m tired, we’re all tired.’
You can f–k right off with that.”
ME/CFS and just being “tired” are far from the same thing.
“You’re not just waking up feeling like you haven’t slept.
You’re waking up feeling like you just have complete exhaustion in your body
not to mention a handful of other symptoms.”
Stanford recently released a study that shows ME/CFS is an inflammatory disease.
The study shows measurable differences in the blood of those with and without ME/CFS,
which could lead to a diagnostic blood test and further treatments.
But ME/CFS isn’t just being discovered now.
Researchers have had evidence for years.
“We tell them, ‘you have a real disease.’
And they break down there. Becasue for the first time they find somebody
in the medical community telling them, ‘you are not lying. You are not faking.
You have a disease you have no control on.’ And then they feel at least validated.” -Dr. Jose Montoya, Stanford University 2011
While there is still a lot we don’t know about ME/CFS, one thing is clear:
ME/CFS isn’t something that is just made up.
If you have ME/CFS you’re not alone. Your pain is valid.
