Amazon has a new half-hour comedy coming November 10, and it features nine actors with Down syndrome.

The show is centered around Karen Best (played by Bridget Everett), a counselor at an independent living residence for young people with Down syndrome in New York City.

Best has a “big personality and a big love of Chardonnay, which occasionally causes her to make some big mistakes with men. But the biggest thing about Karen is her big heart,” Amazon said in a statement.

According to the Disability Scoop, showrunner Michael Patrick King said he visited a group home while developing the show’s concept.

“While we intend to portray each of these ‘resident’ characters with distinctly different personalities and explore them as fully realized individuals, they all have one thing in common: their ability to love. Their pure, open and enthusiastic love of Karen is the heart of the series,” King told Disability Scoop.

The pilot will be available on Amazon Prime Video starting November 10.
