Motivation comes in many forms #Depression #excercise
Today as I sweated and pushed on the pedals, I was enlightened. Just at the steepest part of the hill, which is the last bit, an e bike rider cruised past me. I said “oh behave” and he yelled out “I’m only in Eco mode” and laughed as he accelerated off into the distance. Funny. I was at max heart rate wanting to fall over, but I thought “I’ll finish him on the down hill”
I found my energy and chased him down, passing him at 50 km per hour.
I yelled out “toot toot” and stood on the pedals and sprinted faster in my biggest gear. Was funny to see the look on his face.
Little things like this can be turned into motivation.
What else can we draw that extra bit of energy from?
Some days living with a mental health condition it’s one foot in front of the other. It’s hard but if we have the right mindset, we can use it for motivation.
Even if it’s getting out of bed and having a shower. You are lifting your middle finger to depression!
