#GestationalTrophoblasticDisease
Gestational trophoblastic disease (GTD) is a group of conditions in which rare tumors grow inside a woman’s uterus, or womb. The tumors begin in the cells that normally develop into the placenta after conception, and involve an abnormal growth of cells. Many GTDs are benign, and do not spread to other body parts, but some are cancerous. Most can be cured, and affected women are usually able to become pregnant at a later date.
