To My Friends, on Thanksgiving and Every Day of the Year
A simple “thank you” doesn’t even begin to express my gratitude towards you. Your friendship means the world to me, and I’m so glad you are part of my life.
You are the light that gets me through all of my darkest moments.
On days I just want to give up, you remind me why I continue to live, whether you know it or not. I have a list of skills on my phone to get me through those times, and I have a section called “reasons to live.” That section has a list that includes (in no particular order) my puppy, my treatment team, music, other reasons, and your name.
I truly believe I am blessed to call you my friend.
Thank you so much for everything that you are. You aren’t just my friend, you are my family.
“A family is simply the people who love and support you. The ones who are there for you through your best and worst moments. The ones who try to build you up rather than break you down. They are the ones who will pick up the phone when you call, regardless of the time. They are the ones who recognize your stubbornness, but still try to steer you in the right direction. A family is the people who you feel happy, comfortable, and safe with.” — Sabrina Cordaro, Odyssey Online
I hope you are surrounded by a whole lot of love… Happy Thanksgiving, my loves!
Love you to the moon and back.
“I think it is important to take the time to tell the people you love how much you love them while they can still hear you.” — Meredith Grey
